«Elephant in the Room» is a show about Babar, king of the elephants and one of the most adored childhood cartoons around the world, is now more than ninety years old and has a problem: a drinking problem. He's been touring around with his show for the last century, but recently has not been feeling too good: he became aware that there's a few authors criticizing his story, defining it as a standard of colonialism. Babar can't cope with the fact that his beautiful and innocent story might have an actual elephant in the room. Through his delirious ramblings and hilarious interaction with the audience, we'll get to know more of the real elephants in the room within his story.

«Elephant in the Room» is a comedy show by Pablo Lechuga. It started its production by the beginning of 2023 at Centre Cívic El Sortidor of Barcelona under an artistic residency program delivered by Barcelona’s Council. Since then, the show has participated in festivals such as Reykjavík Fringe, Tallinn Fringe and Gothenburg Fringe with great success, being nominated in the ‘Hype Award’ for this last one. This 2024 it is participating at the FinFringe, the MilanOFF and premieres in Barcelona at Sala Golem's.

«Elephant in the Room» és un show sobre Babar, rei dels elefants i un dels dibuixos infantils més adorats del món, ara té més de noranta anys i té un problema: un problema amb la beguda. Ha estat de gira amb el seu espectacle durant l'últim segle, però recentment no es troba gaire bé: s'ha adonat que hi ha uns quants autors que critiquen la seva història, definint-la com un estàndard del colonialisme. Babar no pot fer front al fet que la seva bella i innocent història podria tenir un elefant real a l'habitació. A través de les seves divagacions delirants i la interacció hilarant amb el públic, coneixerem més els elefants a la sala reals i reials de la seva història.

«Elephant in the Room» és un show de comèdia de Pablo Lechuga. Va començar la seva producció a principis de 2023 al Centre Cívic El Sortidor de Barcelona sota un programa de residència artística de l'Ajuntament de Barcelona. Des d'aleshores, l'espectacle ha participat durant el 2023 en festivals com Reykjavík Fringe, Tallinn Fringe i Gothenburg Fringe amb gran èxit, sent nominat al ‘Hype Award’ per aquest últim. Enguany es presenta al FinFringe, el MilanOFF i s’estrena a Barcelona a la Sala Golem’s.
